SERVICES AND UTILITIES
The urban underground has become awash with utility lines, including electricity, gas, water mains, stormwater, fiber optics, traffic signals and more. These utilities are susceptible to damage from construction and excavation activities, with ramifications ranging from power outages, communication black-outs to severe injury or death. The ability to physically determine the location, nature and depth of the underground utility services will greatly reduce the risk and consequences of inadvertent damage.
Australian Concrete X-Ray provides an advanced underground utility locating service by methods of video inspection, sonde tracing, electomagnetic induction techniques and ground penetrating radar. Our ability to employ a range of different methods to determine the location of underground utilities ensures accuracy of our findings, increases confidence that all utilities will be located and can avoid thousands of dollars of unexpected delays and damages that could occur during site excavations based on information on the “as built” plans that are often unreliable.
Australian Concrete X-Ray utilises, Dial before You Dig’s services (DBYD) to initially pinpoint any possible services in the vicinity of all service investigations. This greatly reduces the time spent on site and also reduces our client’s costs by quickly establishing the approximate location of pipes, and service as required by our clients.
